Elust is an online monthly publication of a list of links to blog posts about sex.
I bought Elust, as of March 2021, and just received the domain name and set up the site on my hosting.
The idea of the monthly sex blog roundup is simple. Contributors submit a link to one of their own blog posts about sex. Then when the list is ready, everyone who has a link on the list publishes the full list of all the links for the month on their own blog.
It's a great way for your posts to reach a wider audience. If you submit a post and 20 other people submit links for the month. That means your link is now appearing on 19 other adult themed blogs each with it's own audience.
Search engines love it
Search engines love it when you have plenty of quality backlinks from other sites. Especially those with a high authority rating for topics similar to those covered on your own site. So Elust is a perfect way to improve your SEO.
People who post regularly have formed a tight knit community. The site and monthly collection has been going for over a decade. There's a lot of guest posting, meme ideas and collaborations.
I posted regularly to Elust over the last few years but I'm relatively new and I know others have been involved for a lot longer so I'd love to hear any ideas or opinions from other Elust contributors and readers.
I'm excited about getting the site back up and running and re-commencing the monthly elust publications.
I'd like to continue Elust in the same spirit as it was intended. Sex positive and inclusive.
This is a project for me to see how I can grow and improve Elust. I'm open to ideas and would be very happy to hear any feedback. Please reply in the comments. Tell me what you liked or didn't like and anything you'd love to keep as is/ vs any changes you'd like to see.
