Welcome to Elust 142.
Elust banners are now appearing on youporn, pornhub and redtube for people searching for erotica. This is mainly aimed at youporn which has an erotica page but the other tube sites were included too. I'm comparing the clicks coming from this with the clicks from the Fetlife banner last month to decide whether to continue with either campaign or maybe try adwords or twitter ads. Still experimenting with different ideas to promote Elust.
Each new edition is emailed out to all 332 subscribers and promoted on twitter and reddit. If everyone who contributes also re-posts the edition on their blog and retweets the tweet announcing the new edition, that's a huge audience you reach by participating.
I'd love to see more people adding their own comments after each link included in the edition when they do the re-post.
For example.
This is optional but I think making the edition unique when you publish it on your own blog will make the search engines happier. The digest code alone is fine but might not be as good for SEO as it would be if you post the digest code plus add your own comments. I'd like Elust to be like a book club where everyone participating reads everything in the new digest and shares their thoughts.
I spent an hour or two per day for the last 3 days copy and pasting the missing Elust editions from the wayback machine into the wordpress post editor. About 75 editions were missing from the archives but they're all restored now. If you click the Archives button at the bottom of the Elust homepage, you'll see all 142 editions going back to October 2009.
